Spring icebreaking operations will be underway on Georgian Bay soon.
The Canadian Coast Guard reports its ships will be moving past Parry Sound to make a safe route for commercial vessels. Officials say no one should try getting out on the ice during the operation or afterwards as the ice will be very dangerous.
Icebreaking operations are expected to start on Saturday.
