The post season begins Friday night for the Almaguin Spartans as they kick off a best 2 of 3 set with the South Muskoka Shield.
This will be the third straight year these two teams have met in the post season.
In 2016 the teams battled through six games with the Spartans ending up victorious to claim the North Division Playoff title. Last year the Spartans prevailed again taking a 5 game series which was decided by a shoot-out in game 5.
The first game is Friday night in South River with the puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
Game 2 is in Gravenhurst Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and game 3 if necessary is back in South River Sunday night at 7:30 p.m.
