One of the many events of Snowfest 2018 will be the Fishing Derby in Parry Sound.
The two-day event this weekend takes place on the Inner Harbour at Champagne Street.
Organizer Jim McCoubrey says he’s pleased with the ice conditions.
McCoubrey says if you worried about not having the right equipment, you’ll be taken care of.
A food booth will be on the ice for those fishing munchies and prizes include a gas auger for the grown-ups and a brand new bike for the kids.
It takes place between 9 am and 4 pm this Saturday and 9 am and 2 pm on Sunday.
