Efforts to build a splash pad at Waubuno Beach in Parry Sound are still on-going.
Sound Splash Pad Committee co-chairs Chris MacDonald and Erin Cardy will be speaking before The Archipelago Town Council Friday morning to request funding for the estimated $275,000 project.
The committee is reaching out to all area councils for financial support.
The splash pad committee itself has a launched a buy-a-brick fundraising drive as well approaching local service clubs such as Kinsmen and Rotary for addition funding.
At its meeting last week, Parry Sound Town Council created a $40,000 splash pad reserve fund with money transferred from its Municipal Property/Parkland Reserve Fund.
