Whitestone Library to close for three weeks for accessibility renovations

Whitestone’s public library is about to become more accessible and safer.

Renovations slated for this month include adding an accessible ramp for the fire exit
and the addition of an automatic door.

Library C-E-O Lori Guillemette says there are more changes on the way.

Funding for the 30-thousand dollar project will be provided through a grant that sees the
federal government paying two-thirds of the cost and the municipality of Whitestone
covering the rest.

The library will close November 20th and is expected to stay closed for three weeks during
construction.
