Police are investigating a number of recent thefts from across Almaguin Highlands. OPP officers say unknown persons entered a McMurrich/Monteith home on Highway 518 on April 14th between 7:00am and 2:00pm and stole a gold bracelet, a necklace, and other jewelry. Also on April 14th, jewelry and World War II medals were also stolen from a Deer Lake Road home in Perry Township where a white van was noticed in the area that could be involved. This past Monday, witnesses say two men in a burgundy truck were seen taking a John Deere snow blower from the driveway of a Highway 518 residence in Perry Township. Anyone with information regarding these or any other crime are asked to contact police or call Crime Stoppers.
