The Sound Community Hub is officially opening its doors.
The hub is located in the former William Beatty School’s gym at 86 Gibson Street.
The rest of the school has been converted to affordable housing units. All 45 units were rented within three weeks of being available and there is already a waiting list to get in.
The grand opening for the community hub will take place Friday at 1 pm.

There will be a tour and open house.
It will offer a space for many community organizations and initiatives including the children’s organizations One Kids Place, and Early Years. The Meeting House will also be working out of the hub.
