A fundraising dinner is being held at Parry Sound High School this Thursday (Nov.03rd) to raise funds to send 40 local students to Vimy Ridge to mark the battle’s 100th anniversary next April. The cost of the dinner that features hors d’oeuvres, zucchini cannelloni, roasted stuffed chicken and more is $25. Dinner is being prepared by PSHS Food Services Program students. Tickets are being sold by students heading to Europe next year as well as through the School. Following dinner there will be the unveiling of the Jack Patterson Memorial Case in the school. Then a special announcement will be made about a major undertaking to honour local veterans in 2017 in conjunction with VIMY 100 and Canada’s 150th birthday.
