Police have laid charges in a crash in South River. Almaguin Highlands OPP was called to the intersection of Ottawa Avenue and Highway 124 last Wednesday for a two vehicle collision. Police say a van was heading southbound on Highway 124 and tried to turn left onto Ottawa Avenue when a northbound pickup truck drove through the intersection and struck the side of the van. Emergency services were called in and one passenger of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the van has been charged with failure to yield right of way.
