Traffic stop leads to numerous charges

Police have arrested two men on a number of charges after a traffic stop in McDougall. West Parry Sound OPP says on Thursday morning they pulled the vehicle over after travelling at a slow rate of speed on Highway 124. Upon investigation, police determined the driver had consumed alcohol. Police ended up charging a 27-year-old from Hamilton with drinking and driving, fail or refusal to provide breathe sample, two counts of possession of drugs, and driving a motor vehicle with open liquor. The passenger was also charged with two counts of possession of drugs, possession of unmarked cigarettes and open liquor. Both men will appear in court at the end of the month.
