McDougall man charged for illegal hunting

A McDougall Township man has been fined for illegal deer hunting. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says the man was fined a total of $1,500 for the incident. In November of last year, a ministry officer responded to a complaint by a landowner regarding the shooting of a white tailed deer on their property. After an investigation, police were called to the accused man’s home where the white-tailed deer was seized as evidence. Hunters are reminded it is illegal to hunt deer on private property without permission of the landowner.
