Town council meets tonight

Town of Parry Sound council will be held tonight.  Mayor and council will hear deputations regarding noise from construction vehicles on Wakefield Street and about a man who wants to build the world’s largest hockey stick to attract tourism.  On the agenda is discussion around the Town’s further involvement with the West Parry Sound SMART Community Committee and an update of the Town’s strategic plan.  Also on the agenda is a direction for staff to increase the remuneration for the Mayor and councillors, support for Trestle Brewing Company along with a by-law to approve their site plan and a by-law to create a reserve fund for the Treetops Community Forest project going beside the new elementary school and discussion on supporting the park development plan put together by the newly formed Steering Committee.  The meeting takes place in the council chambers of the Town office at 7:00pm.
