All Ontario residents can fish for free starting this weekend. Family Fishing Week begins Saturday and runs through until July 12 where people of all ages can enjoy one of Canada’s favourite outdoor activities in a fun and affordable way. There are many family fishing events planned throughout the province with the McKellar Recreation Committee hosting Kids Fishing and Fun Day at Minerva Park on Saturday, July 11th from 9:00am until 1:00pm. Canadians may fish without a licence in Ontario during family fishing week but non-residents do need a licence and all anglers are reminded that they still have to follow all fishing regulations.
