Police are investigating an early morning fire on Parry Sound Road. West Parry Sound OPP and the Parry Sound Fire Department was called about a fire at about 1:30am this morning in a building with three apartments. During the scene investigation, a body was found and the identity of the body is being held until a post mortem has been conducted. Currently, Parry Sound Road is closed to traffic between Emily Street and Forest Street while police continue to investigate the cause of the fire with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office. The fire also knocked out Cogeco service to a large area of town and even out to parts of McDougall.
