Selkirk strike officially over

The Selkirk Strike is officially over.
Workers at the prefabricated chimney production company walked off the job last week. They had been without contracts since February.
A new offer was tabled, and according to union reps the workers voted to accept the deal.
They added that the new contract is a fair deal for both sides and will benefit everyone.
Union reps are saying employees voted 77 percent in favour of taking the offered contract.
There were three main sticking point to negotiations.
One is lower wage increases for workers, the second being changes to the way infractions are being handled, and the third is a change to the structure to their pay rate set up.
