Kayakers are making their way to the Georgian Bay area for Paddlepalooza.
It’s an event put on by the Ontario Sea Kayak Centre, and is meant to be a spring tune-up for sea kayakers in Ontario. This is the fifth year the event is taking place in Parry Sound.
The base camp for the event is Camp Tapawingo, where meals and accommodation will be provided for those registered.
There are sessions planned throughout the weekend, including technical and touring skills being taught on Georgian Bay. They’ll be launching off of Oak Point on Parry Island for this event.
