The “Films That Make You Think” film club is showing the film “Unlocking the Cage” tonight at 7 at the Museum on Tower Hill. The movie asks whether it is time to “unlock the cage” and end the practice of animal captivity, at least for certain mammals. Glen Hodgson, the film club’s founder believes this may be the most interesting and controversial film they have shown. The film follows animal rights lawyer Steven Wise in his unprecedented challenge to break down the legal wall that separates animals from humans. It is an intimate look at a lawsuit that could forever transform our legal system, and one man’s lifelong quest to protect “nonhuman” animals. Admission is suggested donation of ten dollars for adults and seven for students and seniors and tickets are available at the door.
