North East LHIN offering workshop on culturally inclusive palliative care

The North East Local Health Integration Network is taking steps to make hospice care more inclusive.
“The Spirit Journey: Indigenous Teachings on Death and Dying” is a workshop co-hosted by Parry Sound’s Friendship Centre.
The workshop offers training that increases the awareness for the need for culturally appropriate health care service.
The workshop began on Friday and wraps up tomorrow.
In the next ten years senior citizens will account for 27% of the province’s population.
