A public meeting is being held next week on the future of the Carling snowmobile trail system. The Carling Trailblazers were informed at the beginning of September that a landowner with three pieces of property will no longer be allowing trails across their property. Club volunteer Marilyn Derks says without these properties, the Carling trail system will not be able to access the north or south trails including into Nobel and Parry Sound. The Carling Trailblazers also groom the Fitness Trail in Parry Sound and without access over these properties, would be unable to continue that practice. The snowmobile club is hosting a public meeting next Tuesday at the Carling Recreation Centre beginning at 7:00pm to further discuss the issue.
