Lake Trout spawning bed enhancement in Clear Lake continues to be a success. Last year, Karen Buck of the Clear Lake Association took on the project of enlarging a spawning bed on a shoal near shore which was deemed to be successful as measured by the amount of new fish seen at the site. The Association is planning to enhance another spawning bed on a south shoal which is not currently being used for spawning this year and asked council at yesterday’s meeting for the same provisions as last year. Council granted her the same provisions and the project is expected to start in September.
