The Fire Danger Rating in West Parry Sound has been reduced further. After a weekend filled with rainy periods and cooler temperatures, the region was evaluated this morning and Fire Coordinator Chief Brian Leduc has lowered the Fire Danger Rating to Moderate. A Moderate rating means there is no daytime burning without a permit for approved incinerators and outdoor fire places and burning of natural wood and wood products for campfires are allowed two hours before sundown until two hours after sunrise. Contact your local fire department for daytime burning permits and any questions.
