Parry Sound residents have had a chance to see what is planned for the reconstruction of Emily Street. Last night, the Town of Parry Sound held an open house to show the drawings of the proposed plan. The project will be replacing waste water and sanitary sewer pipes, but Director of Public Works Peter Brown explains some of the added features to the project.
Brown tells us what he’s excited about with this project.
He says they hope to put the project out to tender in April or May because it’s a busy road and there is set time for completion.
The full cost of the project won’t be known until the tenders come back, but the town is getting funding from the provincial and federal governments. This project is also lining up with the work being done on Rose Point Road in Seguin Township.
