Tiny Township homeowner charged after overnight fire

A homeowner is being charged over $1500 for not having working alarms in his home.  Over the weekend, the home caught fire while the family was asleep due to a candle.  The family was able to escape but there was major damage to the home after firefighters put the fire out.  Due to breaking the township bylaw requiring homeowners to have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, the homeowner was charged.
