A Burk’s Falls resident has hit a $100,000 jackpot.
Kenneth Turner won the prize on March 13 with an Instant Gift Pack purchased at Burk’s Falls Kwik Way on Ontario St.
According to the OLG, the 66-year-old father says he’s an occasional lottery player.
“I buy tickets when I have some extra change in my pocket,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Turner says when he brought his winning ticket to the store, he watched the clerk’s eyes widen. “I was so excited I couldn’t sleep for about five days. I just couldn’t believe it was true,” he said.
Turner said he is grateful for this win at this time in his life, adding he hasn’t really thought about what to do with the money yet but predicts there may be a new vehicle in his future.
“It’s such an unbelievable experience,” Turner concluded.
