The year’s Georgian Bay Walk, Run, Pole fundraiser raised over $63,000.
The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation’s annual five-kilometre walk took off at nine AM from Parry Sound’s Stockey Centre on Sunday.
The money raised is for new diagnostic equipment at the Health Centre, allowing for in-community cardiorespiratory care.
According to the event’s website, this year’s participants logged in a combined total of nearly 5.5 million steps, over 62 hours, and over 21 hundred kilometres.
