The West Parry Sound Fire Region has updated its fire danger rating for the week.
According to West Parry Sound Fire Coordinator Brian Leduc, the municipal fire danger rating remains high across most parts of the region.
That means while campfires are permitted, fire permits, all fireworks and all daytime burning is prohibited.
However, in the North, the fire danger rating in Britt and Area, as well as Henvey Inlet First Nation, remains at extreme with a total fire ban in place.
Check with your municipality before lighting a fire to see what’s allowed in your area.
