The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association will resume bargaining with the provincial government today…..but there’s not a lot of optimism that progress will be made towards ending rotating strikes.
As a result unless an agreement is reached today, Simcoe – Muskoka Catholic Elementary and High School students will not have school on Tuesday. (St. Peter’s and St. Dom’s). Schools will reopen on Wednesday.
Elementary school students attending Near North Schools, including those in grades seven and eight who attend Intermediate / High Schools will not be attending school on both Wednesday and Thursday.
All Early Years Programs, Childcare, School Aged Programs and Early On Child and Family Centres will remain open. Community use will run as usual.
Planned action by the Secondary School Teachers Union this week will not affect Near North Schools.
