Community members will be walking through downtown Parry Sound this week in the name of safety. The District of Parry Sound Domestic Violence Coordinating Committee has organized the 11th Annual Walk for Community Safety this Wednesday to raise public awareness of local issues of violence against women and children in our community and outside of our community. This year the walk will be dedicated to Natalie Novak and Val Gutteridge, two area women who were killed by their partners. Everyone is encouraged to take part in the walk which will start at Market Square Park at 4:30 on Wednesday.
