Details of the 2014 provincial budget are no surprise to our MPP. The government released plans to spend 130 billion dollars over 10 years on programs such as establishing an Ontario Retirement Pension Plan, transit improvements, hospital expansions and capital grants for schools. Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says it’s hard to believe the government will balance the budget by 2017/2018 when their spending plan confirms projected revenues will be lower than previously predicted and the deficit balloons to 12 point five billion dollars.
