Sweet Honey Festival coming to Parry Sound

The Town of Parry Sound is putting more money into a new festival.
The Sweet Honey Festival is set to take place September 23 in the town of Parry Sound. The event applied for Canada 150 grants, but weren’t able to secure funding.
The town was already supporting the event with $849. The event asked for an additional $4,000 to make up for their lack of Canada 150 grants, which council approved on Tuesday.
There are ten activities planned for event, including a honey mead tasting, a hands-on experience in the apiary, and learning how to extract honey.
