Drugs taken off regional streets

Police in Mattawa have removed drugs from area streets.  Mattawa OPP stopped a vehicle Tuesday night and an investigation led to the seizure of more than 3000 methamphetamine pills and a small amount of marijuana.  A 24-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman, and a 17-year-old all from Ottawa are charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, drug trafficking, and possession of under 30 grams of marijuana.  All three were released and will appear in a Mattawa court at a later date.
