Nine local heroes in the home have been recognized by the Community Care Access Centre. This morning, the CCAC hosted their inaugural Heroes in the Home awards celebration to highlight friends, neighbours, family members, and community volunteers who make a big difference in the lives of others. CCAC Board Chair Ron Farrell explains why it’s important to recognize these heroes.

All nominees received a certificate of recognition. A similar celebration will be held tomorrow in North Bay for Heroes in that community. Those nominated were:
