Parry Sound High School improves provincial ranking

Our local high school has improved its ranking in the province.  Parry Sound scored 6.4 in this year’s Fraser Institute rankings of 740 public, catholic, and some private high schools across Ontario.  The Fraser Institute released their report card yesterday with PSHS ranked 343, up from 503.  Almaguin Highlands fell in their rankings dropping from 662 down to 715.  The rankings are based on seven academic indicators using data from Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office’s tests of literacy and math.  To see more on this year’s report card, visit www.compareschoolrankings.org
