Snow Squall Watch for Parry Sound-Muskoka today

A snow squall watch is in effect for Parry Sound and Muskoka.  Environment Canada says the passage of a cold front overnight has resulted in lake effect flurries southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.  Later on this afternoon and tonight winds are expected to become southwesterly ahead of an approaching low pressure system, which could shift snow squalls further to the south.  As the system passes tomorrow, cold northwesterly winds will redevelop causing snow squalls to once again affect our region.  Areas affected could see local amounts of up to 10 cm per 12 hours.
