Lighting a fire could be dangerous in the Parry Sound region this week.
Following a hot dry weekend and some dry weather ahead, the West Parry Sound Fire Coordinator has upgraded the fire danger rating to extreme.  This classification means there will be no fires allowed in the region either during the day or at night.  Fire Chief Brian Leduc says the forest fire forecast prediction has pushed him to upgrade the rating.  The next updated will come on June 27th.
