Over 50 years of service to the cemeteries in Humphrey and Seguin have been honoured. Julia Fraser became involved on the cemetery board in Humphrey in the early 1960s and continued through until she resigned from the Seguin Cemetery Committee this past January. Mayor Bruce Gibbon presented her with a plaque at Monday’s council meeting saying 20 of those years were in a voluntary capacity and that her tenure is the longest continuous involvement in Seguin history. She says she enjoyed every moment serving on the board and committee.
