The fire danger rating in West Parry Sound will remain at Moderate. Regional Fire Coordinator Chief Brian Leduc is keeping the rating at Moderate for the final long weekend of the summer. A moderate rating means that there is no daytime burning without an approved incinerator and a permit from your local fire department. Reasonable fires for cooking and for warmth are allowed from two hours before sunset until two hours before sunrise.
