A London man is facing drug charges after being stopped for speeding on Highway 69.
West Parry Sound OPP says while conducting radar enforcement on Highway 69 near Britt, officers stopped a vehicle for speeding shortly after 8 PM on Saturday (Dec 2).
Police say following an investigation, a 46-year-old man from London Ontario was arrested and charged with the following;
- Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
- Traffick in schedule 1 substance – Opioid
- Failure to comply with release order – two counts
- Driving while under suspension
- Speeding 1 – 49 Km/h over the posted limit
OPP says the accused was held for a Bail hearing in Parry Sound scheduled for Monday (Dec 4).
