A single vehicle crash on Highway 522 near Blair Township claimed the life of one person.
West Parry Sound OPP says emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 522 and Laing Road shortly after 2 p.m. on Oct. 4.
Police say the driver, a 47-year-old from Lively, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police the highway was closed for about nine hours for the investigation but has since reopened.
OPP says the investigation into the crash is on-going with the assistance of the North East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, the Technical Collision Investigator and Reconstructionist.
In addition, officials say the Office of the Chief Corner for Ontario is assisting and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later date.
