Two facing charges after OPP execute South River drug warrant, over $6K worth of drugs and cash seized

Two people from South River are facing drug trafficking charges after police executed a drug warrant last week.

The OPP’s Almaguin Highlands detachment says around 4 PM on Wednesday Sept. 20, officers searched a residence on Tebby Boulevard in South River.

Police say a search led to the seizure of over $350 in cash and around $6,000 worth of suspected cocaine.

A 25-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were each charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and the 41-year-old was also with possession of under $5,000 worth of property obtained by crime.

Police say the 25-year-old has court date set for November in Sundridge and the 42-year-old has one set for Friday in Parry Sound.
