A Pointe au Baril business is celebrating its 75th year in action through a donations boost to the Georgian Bay Biosphere.
Established in 1946, Desmasdon’s Boat Works, along with Beacon Marie, will be matching charitable donations up to $7,500 from April 19th to April 30th.
The GBB’s Earth Week Fundraiser aims to honour the work of the Biosphere and their fundraising goal of $15,000.
Over the last 75 years, Desmasdon’s has grown to be the largest, full-service marine facility in Pointe au Baril.
Tonia and Andy Blenkarn, owners since 1998, now share ownership with Nicole and Matt French and together also operate Beacon Marine.
The businesses are well known for their friendships with customers, professional service and boat sales of Grady-White, Key West, Stanley, Limestone, and Rossiter brands.
