Parry Sound’s Splash Pad is one step closer to reality.
Co-chair for the splash pad steering committee Chris McDonald has posted concept art for the proposed project. McDonald says the design is still early and is subject to change, but gives a rough idea of what residents can expect to see when the splash pad is built at Waubuno Beach. He says the next step is approaching local municipalities and First Nations in Parry Sound for funding. The committee will also be looking for sponsorships from local businesses.
The project will be added to the Town of Parry Sound budget discussions. Town council isn’t ready to apply for a Trillium Grant for the project until a specific plan and price tag for the project is in place.
