Wasauksing First Nation to join the information superhighway with new federal grant

The feds are helping a northern indigenous community get online access.

Wasauksing First Nation will benefit from the $1.8 million investment in new internet infrastructure through the Connect to Innovate program. Federal officials say the internet is not just a convenience but provides business and education opportunities as well.

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement applauded the work of local stakeholders to help bring this funding to the northern first nation community.
