Plans for the new OPP building in Parry Sound are taking another step forward.
The OPP has plans to build nine new police detachments as part of their modernization project.
One of the new detachments will be built in Parry Sound at 1 North Road. The new detachment will replace the current OPP building on Bay Street.
The OPP announced earlier today that it was asking the three teams to make proposals on how they will design build and finance the nine new OPP detachments.
The three teams being asked for proposals are Bird Capital, DBF Pomerleau, and EllisDon.
The OPP modernization project is part of a $190 billion project from Infrastructure Ontario.
