Students at Parry Sound High School voted along with the national trend.  Last Friday, students from grade seven to 12 voted in a parallel mock election and the results were released early this morning.  Over 70 percent of the student population voted with Liberal Trisha Cowie coming out on top with 272 votes, Green Glen Hodgson second with 127, Conservative Tony Clement third with 103, and NDP Matt McCarthy fourth with 76.  The remaining 30 votes were divided among the other three candidates.  Across the country, the Student Vote mock election had the Liberals winning a majority government with 223 seats and the Conservatives formed the official opposition with 69 seats.  For the complete results and more information about Student Vote, visit their website http://www.studentvote.ca/results/.
