West Parry Sound OPP is wrapping up a busy summer for its officers.
In August, detachment officers responded to over 1,300 calls for service, which is nearly double the number of calls received in July and June. Over 900 calls were logged in July and just over 700 in June. Car crashes topped the list with officers responding to 49 collisions on West Parry Sound patrolled roads.
Speeders have also been a target for the detachment, with five people recently charged in separate incidents on Highway 69 over the long weekend.
