Staff looking into reconfiguring Bowes, Alberta Edward street investigation

Town of Parry Sound staff will be investigating the possible reconfiguration of the traffic lights at the Bowes Street intersections with Albert and Edward streets.

A request for the investigation was made by Coun. Joe Beleskey during the Sept. 1 meeting, and received council support.

Beleskey says he brought topic forward as the intersection “always has problems” and road rage comes out of those problems at times.

He has asked for staff to look into cost effective options to reconfigure that intersection and eliminate congestion.

At councils request, staff will aim to report back to council with options before 2027 budget deliberations begin.
