Whitestone now accepting applications for road grants program

The Municipality of Whitestone is now accepting applications for its road grant program.

Staff say the program provides assistance for maintenance costs to property owners on private and unassumed roads.

To be eligible to receive a Road Grant, property owners fronting on and/or utilizing one or more opened private or unassumed road to access their property, must form a Road Group. According to staff, to form a group, at least 60 per cent of the total number of properties serviced by the road have to agree to be a part of the application.

The deadline for applications is September 30th.
