The fire danger rating for the West Parry Sound District has been lowered from high to ‘moderate’.
That’s according to Carling Fire Chief Gord Harrison, who announced that the rating change on Aug. 28 due to the recent rainfall the region has received.
Harrison says that means, for most jurisdictions, normal burning regulations are in effect.
He’s reminding everyone to check with their local authorities before burning.
