Parry Sound`s Stephanie Weeks won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Jump Rope Championships, which ran from July 27 to Aug. 3 in Kawasaki Japan.
Weeks, an alumnus of the local skipping club Georgian Jumpers, said competing in the event was an “amazing” experience.
On the final day of the event, Weeks finished third in single rope triple-unders.
“I had mixed emotions, to be completely honest,” said Weeks. “But overall I was very happy that I was able to pull it off and bring home a bronze medal.”
Weeks said initially it appeared that she had tied for third place with another contestant. However, following a re-count she was determined the third place finisher.
This was Weeks’ second medal in the event, as she also won bronze at the 2023 World Jump Rope Championships in Colorado.
